The Maddux School staff uses a variety of third-party online educational resources (“Services”) which we have found to be beneficial to our curriculum. Federal regulations apply to these Services and require parental consent when the Services collect information on children. Please visit individual websites for additional information. Consent forms are available through your Operoo account or through The Maddux School adminstrators.

Google for Education
Type of Service: Google for Education provides a self-contained, ad-free, and filtered environment for students and staff to create, edit, collaborate, and share information with each other as well as, when appropriate, publish some resources publicly. The features and options available are based on grade level, student awareness, requirements for coursework, and formal permission from parents. Students will be assigned a student email account. This account will be considered the student’s Maddux email address until such time as the student is no longer enrolled at The Maddux School. The account is not a personal email address.
The account will only allow sending and receiving of email between staff and students at The Maddux School. (Exceptions to this filter may be made on a case by case basis for external email addresses which directly support a student’s education, such as that of a parent or employer. In these cases, the parent will be asked to sign an “External Email Authorization Form”). The account will be deleted when the student leaves The Maddux School. Accounts will not be enabled without parent permission.
